RECYCLING

  • ___
  • When your battery has successfully completed its life cycle, recycling it has never been more convenient or environmentally safe. C&D’s Revert Pb Lead-Acid Battery Collection and Recycling Program provides our customers with the most affordable and intuitive program to ensure proper recycling.

One of the best things about lead acid batteries is that over 98% of the components—including lead, sulfuric acid and plastics—can be recovered. Even more, up to 80% of reclaimed materials are used in the production of new batteries, creating a closed-loop lifecycle.

We partner with licensed hazardous materials carriers that collect spent industrial batteries from customer sites or consolidation storage warehouses and transport them to EPA-certified lead recycling plants. The facilities use state-of-the-art battery dismantling and separating technologies to reprocess both VLA (vented lead acid) and VRLA (vented regulated lead acid) batteries. The result? Reduced waste streams and increased peace of mind around “cradle-to-grave” responsibility.
