C&D Technologies Launches New VRS12-215F Cycle Service Battery
Blue Bell, PA – June 10, 2014 - C&D Technologies, Inc. a leading producer and marketer of complete, integrated standby power systems today announced the continued expansion of its VR Solar® product line utilizing C&D's industry leading C&D TRUE Front Access® design. The latest product addition to this family is the VRS12-215F. The VRS12-215F incorporates C&D's field proven and industry leading DCS technology with the newly released Nano-Carbon™ technology to enhance cycle performance and partial state of charge (PSoC) operation. "This is the first large format product released by C&D for the cycling market utilizing our new, cycle enhancing Nano-Carbon™ technology", stated Jay Frankhouser, Director of Product Management of C&D. Ease of installation and maintenance is enhanced by the front terminal design and patented C&D Ohmic Ring® which provides for fast installation and easy, accurate, ohmic and voltage measurements.
This product is built in C&D's state-of-the-art facility in Reynosa, Mexico utilizing a new high-speed production line. C&D utilizes its proprietary Fixed Orifice Pasting to enhance plate consistency and grid corrosion protection. The product also incorporates ultra-sensitive helium leak detection to assure top quality seals for long service life.
The VRS12-215F product line also has available racking for a complete turnkey installation. The rack model IFR4D frame is designed for easy on site loading of batteries; more details can be found on both the battery and associated racking via C&D's website.
